TIGR® Matrix introduces a unique long-term dual-stage resorption technology, combining fast- and slow-resorbing synthetic polymer fibers, to create a next-generation surgical mesh that delivers strong mechanical support when needed, then gradually degrades while promoting tissue regeneration, and is fully absorbed by the body when it is no longer needed.
The 100% synthetic mesh is carefully engineered from copolymers of lactide, glycolide and trimethylene carbonate. These polymers are well documented and clinically proven, having been in clinical use since the 1970s and are very common in medical devices.
